Here at Jung Ko Taekwondo, we want you to feel like you belong to a family! That’s why we host many fun events to connect with our students, their families and the community inside and outside the classroom. There is always something new and exciting planned throughout the year, check back here regularly to see what we have in store!

Easter Egg Hunt (In-school event)

Thursday April 13th, 2017

 Come to your regular scheduled class and bring a friend to enjoy a wide variety of games and activities. There will also be paper eggs hidden throughout the school, find the special one and win the grand prize!






Summer Picnic

Saturday August 12th, 2017–

Probably our most popular event, our annual summer picnic is always tons of fun! Every year we meet at G.Ross Lord Park (located near Dufferin/Steeles) to get together to  play tons of outdoor games and eat some great food. Such activities include: Tug of war, water balloon toss, and three-legged race! There is always great prizes to be won by the winners too! This is a potluck event so everybody can bring their specialty to share with others, and we provide the BBQ food such as hotdogs, hamburgers and Korean Ribs (Kalbi). Remember to keep it peanut free!



Referee Seminar (In-school event)

Sunday October  1st  2017

This seminar is offered to students who have achieve at least red belt status and are 13 years and older. Becoming a referee is just another way Taekwondo can be applied in the real world, and perhaps even towards a career. This seminar will focus on how to properly judge and control a competitive sparring match during competitions. There is a written exam as well as a practical exam at the Jung Ko Canadian Classic in October.





Halloween Party (In-school event)

Saturday October 28th, 2017

Join us for an afternoon of spooky games and fun activities before you go out trick or treating! Your friends are also welcome to join you take part in the fun! There is also a costume contest and the winner gets a grand prize. Parents, feel free to dress up too! Everybody will also go home with some candy!





Holiday Party (In-school event)

Sunday December 17th, 2017

This end of the year party is not only about getting together for the holidays, but also a chance for us to say thank you to our families who have supported us through out the year. We plan lots of games during this time for the kids and also open our space for the parents to be social with eachother. This is a potluck  event, so please bring a peanut free dish to share with everyone.
